I can’t take Smoked seriously when he/she says:
1) “Desmond has no personality, Altair is the same way, Ezio is annoying.”
Plain wrong. Pointing these out and being so full of it showcases your ignorance. You might be playing another franchise. In my Assassin’s Creed, Altair and Desmond had decent character development, and Ezio had the best. But Desmond’s case got mended a bit, in Revelations, probably to prepare the ground for ACIII. You see, those Desmond DNA sequences helped build… his personality. Yep. It exists, others have seen it too. I’d blame it on alcohol, but it’s not just me.
2) Wanting an entire franchise to change its roots, because you don’t like it, is eccentric and silly. It’s like I demand Lucas writes another Star Wars and reveals that Darth Vader was a decoy, and the real Darth Vader is a female, just because I didn’t like Anakin.
3) “and stop regarding females as either the victim, the damsel in distress, the sex toy and the useless support role.”
I pretty much remember a lot of females that were tough on Ezio, either with their personalities or by straight-out kicking him in the balls. I don’t know why you’re moaning about those, when it’s balanced. Hey, with your logic, we should erase Mario from history, the longest running sexist franchise, where the man always saves the damsel in distress.
4) Voice acting, at least from the main cast, is not bland, nor boring, nor amateurish. Again, you might be playing an imitation of Assassin’s Creed.
