Capcom has released its report for the first nine months of its current fiscal year. The nine month period ended December 31, 2012. Revenue increased 44.6 percent year-on-year to 72.7 billion Yen, from 50.27 billion Yen a year ago. Profits grew 105 percent to 6.6 billion Yen, from 3.24 billion Yen.

Capcom did note poor sales for Resident Evil 6. Resident Evil 6 sold 1.1 million units in the third quarter. Capcom said sales for the game started off strong, but quickly “lost momentum.” 4.80 million units of the game were shipped to retail.

Dragon’s Dogma shipment figures reached 1.25 million units and shipment totals for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City reached 0.65 million units.

Capcom has revised its forecast for the full fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2013.Revenue has been revised to 93.50 billion Yen, up from 82.07 billion Yen. However profits were dropped to 6.50 billion Yen, from 6.72 billion Yen.

Resident Evil 6 shipments are expected to only increase to 5.00 for the full fiscal year. Also 1.00 million units of DmC: Devil May Cry were shipped to retailers in January. Shipments are expected to reach 1.20 million units.

Capcom expects to sell a total of 14.00 million units, down 1.70 million when compared to a year ago. The main difference in sales comes from a drop of 2.00 million units in Japan. Sales in North America are expected to be up 100,000 units and 200,000 in Europe.
