Journey Collector’s Edition will arrive in North American retail August 28 along with ThatGameCompany predecessors Flower and fl0w, creator commentaries and other special features. A developer blog post outlined the disc-based package to be priced at $30.

The Journey begins anew.

The new edition will include a documentary about creating Journey, creator commentary playthroughs, concept art galleries, original soundtracks, and three minigames, among other items. The playthrough videos include feedback from the designers, artists, engineers, and composers behind the games, and the minigames are the result of 24-hour “game jams” within ThatGameCompany.

Earlier this month, ThatGameCompany secured $5.5 million in venture capital funding and declared it would develop and release games for multiple platforms as an independent company. Previously, games from the studio were published only on Sony platforms, and also on PC in the case of fl0w.
