Pink 3DS hits in time for Valentine’s Day

Nintendo is celebrating Valentine’s Day, not with flowers or chocolates, but by offering gamers a new, pink 3DS.

Who needs flowers or chocolate anyway?

Nintendo today announced that on February 10 it will begin selling a stand-alone Pearl Pink 3DS, which was previously available only through a Nintendogs + Cats bundle.

The pink 3DS will retail for the standard $170 and will be available at retailers nationwide.

Nintendo recently announced that global sales of the 3DS have reached 15 million units. This figure is lower than what Nintendo had projected, but despite this, Nintendo believes sales of the 3DS prove there is still a market for dedicated gaming devices.
