Resident Evil 6 – Upcoming Game Release Review

10 Years have passed since the Zombie outbreak occurred in Racoon City, with the Earth in a poor state and only a handful of Humans left near the end of breaking point, the President of the USA has decided it’s time for him to go public with the real information about the events that led up to the outbreak. Unfortunately, The Umbrella Corporation have other ideas about this vital info being leaked…

Upon the day the President is due to go public, another Bio attack is underway. Unlucky for the President, this happens at the same place where he himself is and gets infected by the chemical hazard – Leon’s hardest decision is yet to come to light, kill the US President or let him transform into a Zombie Monster!
This is part of the Main Storyline as the player gets involved in controlling the fate of both Leon and Chris Redfield simultaneously and switch back and forth between characters as both their story’s progress.

Has it really been 3 Years since the release of Resident Evil 5? It sure has and where has the time gone! Lucky for us Zombie lusting folk, there’s only a few months until the epic series returns with their newest and best game yet.

New Game Play in Resident Evil 6

New Controls! Including Shooting While Moving
The game has had a new set of controls developed that are planned to give a more immersive Melee combat feel. As well as finally giving us the option to Shoot while moving, at long last we can run and blast some Zombie brains at the same time!

Intelligent new J’avo Race
Not quite 100% Zombies, let’s just call them an additional Race for now. The J’avoare a new breed of flesh eating monsters that you will have to face. With Intelligent AI, these bad boys can group together, heal each other and use the environment to their advantage. There is now nowhere you can hide as this new form can search, run, jump and there are even rumours that they can pick up objects to use against you.

Use of Environment as Blockages from Enemies
Not that this sounds like it will help against the J’avo now, but when you up against the general Zombie folk, you can use the environment and objects around you to hide behind and block incoming attacks such as Bullets (Zombies who can shoot guns now hum?) and other things that may get flung at you.

Overall

Well, we can’t wait for Resident Evil 6 to be released, and with only a few more months to go until the due date of October 2012 – it’s not too far away. But plenty of time for us to replay the older versions to recap, or if you’ve already played the old series to many times before, check out these Free Games instead.
