Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.
My partner and I started binging Misfits the other day. I’m really glad I started watching this show (and also avoided spoilers for it). It’s on Hulu! Check it out!
Pandaren can be Shaman. Fair enough. Why are they unable to be Druids? Is it strictly a game reason or is there some kind of lore to support it?
Pandaria’s been lost to the world for millennia — millennia that conveniently included the genesis of druidism. Simply put, they had no one to each it to them. Before you say “well worgen can be druids,” Gilneans only had very, very basic nature magic (that was probably a result of night elf blood/teachings anyway) before meeting the night elves post-Cataclysm.
If Blizzard really wanted pandaren to be druids they could have just made something up, mind you — they always, always do — but that clearly wasn’t the case here, so both reasons are right.
Do we know how the cross-realm zones will decide what zone type to use when people form cross-realm groups from different server types? Like, if I’m partied with a group from a pve server and invite someone from a pvp server, do they come to us or do we go to them?
You’ll only be matched up with realms that share your same server type — no mingling with PVE/PVP or RP/non-RP.
I have a question about recruit a friend.
Can I send it to myself, and have two accounts on the same battle-net, and mail heirlooms between them? Can I play them both at the same time?
Yes to all of those questions, but you’ll need to open two separate game clients if you want to play both at the same time. People do it all the time (I did it).
Any word on in game events leading up to MoP’s release? I really enjoyed the cultist and elemental events we got to participate in before Cata and then there was the Gnome invasion event that was awesome.
Yeah! We’re getting a Battle for Theramore scenario that awards Alliance players with a Theramore tabard and Horde players with a Mini Mana Bomb. I’m not sure what else is in store besides that — maybe nothing? We’ll have to wait and see.
