Finally, the video game savvy fans of Transformers can get ready to celebrate the release of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, due on August 28, 2012. The painful wait shall come to an end in a few days as the release date has been finalized. This one is a continuation of the game, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, which was released in 2010. The developer of this series is High Moon Studios and the game is actually released worldwide by Activision. Until now, only two trailers have been released and they have received great applause from the audience. The trailers give a good insight into what the game has in store.
As I mentioned earlier, it is a sequel that projects a long, diehard war between the Autobots and Decepticons who fight to gain ownership of Cybertron. The plot portrays the struggle between the two which leads to the complete destruction of Cybertron. And due to this, they are forced to seek refuge in the Milky Way, our galaxy.
Similar to the previous version, this game is also played in the perspective of a third person shooting. Each and every character has some unique ability to fight back like Grimlock when outraged can transform into a huge dinosaur capable of causing enough havoc. The characters can transform into a different form or gain superior attacking weapons. A new feature in this game is the regeneration option which has replaced the health system. The damaged parts will be re-established in different levels. The players have the power to buy and upgrade their weapons based on points. It is said that there is remarkable advancement in the weapons used and game progress.
The characters have received a major overhaul in their appearance, weapon usage and transformation ability. It seems that tremendous improvement has been brought about in the firing speed. The best thing about this game is that instead of you being stuck up with a single transformer character, you will be given the chance to switch between transformers. So the players will play the game from different angles and understand the game from contrasting perspectives. Grimlock cannot transform at his will, but as the other transformer, you can change forms. At certain stages, you will be prevented from transforming. Pretty interesting!
So, are you all set to play the game (war) for gaining control over Cybertron? The game will not surely disappoint the earnest of players as it comes packed with a lot of amazing updates. Well, let us hope that this game fulfills the expectation of the people and becomes a reckoning success.
