Xbox E3 Recap

E3 is over and it was a blast a good amount of games where announced for all platforms, however Microsoft this year came out with some strong names this year. One of the main announcement was the SmartGlass. Although not a lot of information was released this product has the capabilities to be one of the most popular products. The ability to transfer movies from tablet to console, the ability to use your mobile devices as an additional screen that can be used to enhance your gaming experience are some of the features that will attract a lot of people to get the SmartGlass.

Gaming wise, Microsoft had one of the best announcements in all E3, something worth mentioning are Halo 4, Resident Evil 6, Dead Space 3 and Gears of War: Judgement. Halo 4 was the first game that Microsoft showcased, they could not have started with anything better than this. Featuring a new storyline involving a new alien race, the game will have once again Master Chief as he takes on the adventure. Graphic wise Halo 4 looks amazing, with some dynamic lighting that makes the world look more real. The trailer was one of a kind, they showed a new ship in peril, with people on board that crashed down to Earth.

The surprises did not stop there, as after this EA sports talked about how Fifa 13 will include integration with Kinect. The same goes for Madden NFL 13 which will let you change play calling on the fly. And last but not least Blacklist the new Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, that from the first impression it looks like its a prequel to the whole series. The game will feature co-op and multiplayer mode…Mercenaries vs Spies. When this game was announced gamers immediate starting buzzing about the game, and it started trending on Twitter, giving Ubisoft no doubt that the game will be a huge hit.

To conclude I think that Microsoft really was a step ahead of its competitors, the addition of Halo 4 to the whole list of games, really gave Microsoft the push it needed. Apart from that they annouced more changes and integration to media within the xbox giving Microsoft enough tools to make the xbox console, the console you must own.
